Our founder's must-visit addresses in Ibiza

As you may have seen in the photos of our summer 2024 campaign, we have chosen Ibiza as the backdrop, and the reason is that I have been looking forward to it for a long time. For me Ibiza is everything; it is a refuge where I go whenever I have the opportunity, a place where I have spent long periods of time and where I find true happiness. This island runs between charming white villages and wild nature, between the most select clubs and absolute peace. Below, I will share my essential addresses and some tips that might be helpful if you are planning to visit it. I'll start with the tips:

  • Best months to visit: May, June and September are the ideal months to enjoy the good weather and avoid overcrowding on the island.
  • Flights: Once you have decided the days you want to travel, book flights as far in advance as possible. This will allow you to find real bargains. I usually check with skyscanner.com.
  • If you rent a car, I recommend you to take it from the airport and return it there. I usually rent online with Goldcar, it is the cheapest option although I always take the full insurance. If you opt for a motorcycle, you will have to rent it in town or in an agency near the airport, as there are no motorcycles available at the airport itself.
  • Water: the water in Ibiza is drinkable, but in most areas it has a very strong and salty taste, besides containing high levels of lime, I recommend you to drink bottled water.

BEACHES AND COVES

  • 〰️〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️
  • Salinas beach, although in summer is one of the busiest, is a spectacle, a strip of sand flanked by pine trees and junipers in a protected environment. My recommendation is to walk towards the Sa Trintxa beach bar because that is where there are fewer people. And if you go beyond the beach bar, you will discover some beautiful coves.
  • Es Cavallet beach is very close to Salinas beach and is just as beautiful but, being nudist, it is much quieter and wilder. Do not worry because it is nudist because everyone goes as they want.
  • Cala d'Hort, is a cove with incredible views of the magnetic islet of Es Vedra. If you stay until sunset, do not miss watching the sunset from the tower of Es Savinar, which is very close.
  • Cala Salada and Cala Saladeta, both coves are very close to each other, separated by a small path that connects them. They stand out for their crystal clear turquoise waters. However, it is advisable to arrive early, as you may encounter restrictions on access by car.
  • Punta Galera, this is undoubtedly a very special place worth visiting. It is formed by large rock platforms where you can swim and watch unforgettable sunsets. The sun tinges its rocks with pinkish and orange tones. This beautiful place is on the way to Cala Salada.
  • Cala Conta is a must visit. Although in summer it is crowded with tourists, you have to go. I would recommend you to go to the restaurant Ses Roques and take a walk in that area, as the water is more turquoise, there are less people and there are some incredible places to swim. Also, don't leave without visiting Escondida cove, watching the sunset there while having a drink at its beach bar is the best. Of course, as its name says, it is not easy to find; it is down some stairs at the entrance of Cala Conta.
  • Benirrás Cove. If you are in Ibiza on a Sunday, take the opportunity and go to this cove, where the drum party is held, a party that dates back to the hippies of the 70s. At sunset, a group of hippies gather to play drums and timbales, creating super good vibes while people enjoy the sunset on the sand.

RESTAURANTS AND BEACH CLUBS
〰️  〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️

In Ibiza there are plenty of restaurants where you can eat great and charming, but here I am going to list the ones that I definitely repeat every time I go.

  • Jockey's, flanked by dunes, pines and junipers, and with the tables facing the sea, this is undoubtedly my favorite beach bar in Salinas beach. It is often enlivened by DJ's and the food is great. https://www.jockeyclubibiza.com/es/
  • Experimental Beach, hidden in the nature reserve of Las Salinas, you will find this beach club which is great to go at dusk and watch the sunset, there is a very good atmosphere. https://www.experimentalbeachibiza.com
  • La Escollera, located in a corner of one of the most unspoiled beaches of the island, is a place with incredible views of the Mediterranean. https://laescolleraibiza.com
  • Chiringuito de Sa Punta, this beach bar is one of the few places that keeps the essence of the Ibiza of before. They only serve grilled fish dishes with salad, they do not accept reservations and maybe you have to share a table with other people but if you go there you will understand why it is one of my favorites.
  • Es Boldado, is a restaurant located on the cliff of Cala d'Hort. There you can enjoy an amazing paella with breathtaking views of the great rock of Es Vedra. https://esboldadoibiza.com
  • Restaurant La Paloma, without a doubt one of my favorites, it is run by an Italian family that mixes Italian and Israeli cuisine with Ibicencan products. The lamb hummus is to die for. https://palomaibiza.com
  • Bar Costa, the most famous sandwich bar in Ibiza. To go there to eat a ham sandwich is a tradition, it is also in one of the most beautiful villages of the island, Santa Gertrudis. The establishment is super old and is full of huge paintings, apparently in the 70's, when the village was full of hippies, different painters offered the owner to pay for their drinks with paintings, he accepted and soon became a business for him.
  • Can Balafia, here you dine on grilled meat, fried potatoes and tomato salad and Ibicencan desserts, in a cozy farmhouse with a charming terrace. Of course, I recommend you to book well in advance.
  • Bai Bai tapas bar in the port of Ibiza, invites you to try the most traditional recipes of Basque cuisine. The owners and friends Xabi and Raquel are from San Sebastian and also run the hamburger Va Bene, the best burgers on the island.
  • Restaurant Sa Capella, is a unique place located in an old hermitage with thick stone walls. There you will be able to enjoy a very select gastronomy of Mediterranean influence. https://sacapellaibiza.com/es/
  • Aubergine restaurant, located in the countryside of Ibiza, is a very nice place where you can eat what they grow in their organic garden, they often have live music. https://aubergineibiza.com/restaurante/
  • Hostal La Torre, located on the top of a cliff near San Antonio, is one of the most magical places to watch the sunset and enjoy good Mediterranean food or a cocktail. https://www.latorreibiza.com/es/

HIPPIE MARKETS
〰️   〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️〰️ 〰️

  • Las Dalias, is the most famous hippie market in Ibiza. It is open all day on Saturdays and Sundays. My recommendation is to go at dusk to avoid getting too hot. Do not miss the big tent at the back with tea and Moroccan sweets.
  • San Juan hippie market, I like it the most. Every Sunday practically all the streets of the village of San Juan become part of this market. Don't miss going for a drink at the Giri café.

WHERE TO BUY
〰️   〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️〰️

  • Vicente Ganesha, this iconic store in the heart of Dalt Vila, has been an obligatory stop for celebrities from all over the world. In addition to the typical Indian sarongs and dresses, you will find many vintage treasures.
  • Sluiz, is a huge store that will not leave you indifferent, inside it houses all kinds of decoration, furniture brought from around the world, clothing and a very striking bar.
  • Code Ibiza, has two stores, one in Dalt Vila and another on Santa Gertrudis road, I would go to the latter because it is much larger and is located in a very nice farmhouse. It is a clothing and accessories store with a bohemian and chic style.
  • Es Cucons, is a store with decorative items with Ibizan essence. It is located in the charming village of Santa Gertrudis, apart from this store you will find other very nice decoration stores.

WHERE TO STAY
〰️  〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️〰️

Regarding accommodation is a bit crazy because Ibiza is full of hotels depending on the budget of each one but, here I will detail the ones that for me are the nicest:

  • Agroturismo Atzaró, in the interior of the island you will find this paradisiacal finca with extensive gardens full of orange trees, restaurants, spa and swimming pools. Don't miss the unique experience of having a massage in their spa, even if you're not staying there! https://atzaro.com/es/
  • Can Curreu. In the heart of San Carlos, one of the most emblematic towns of the island, you will find this charming rural hotel. Its original architecture and the beauty of the landscape make up its essence. One of its main attractions are its stables, located on the same farm. https://cancurreu.com/es/
  • Es Cucons is located among hundreds of almond trees in the picturesque valley of Santa Inés. Of all the rural hotels I have mentioned, it is the only one I have stayed at. The others I visit often, but only to enjoy their restaurants or spas. Es Cucons is a real oasis, they make you feel at home and you spend your vacations connected with nature. It is a great place to relax and unwind. https://escucons.com/es/inicio/
  • Hotel Los Enamorados is a magical place in the bay of Portinatx. Every corner is decorated with exquisite taste and they have a store with super special items brought from all over the world. It is a gift for the senses. Having a drink on the terrace is priceless. https://losenamoradosibiza.com

And finally, I share this photo in which I appear second from the left with my dear friends Maite, Olatz and Enara. They are the great treasure of my life. Together we have lived unforgettable moments and they have been by my side in the joys and challenges, they are the best for me!

I hope these recommendations will be useful and will inspire you if you are planning to visit Ibiza, don't hesitate to share your own must-see places with me!

See you always,
